Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new 2027 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680, an updated version of the brand’s luxury SUV featuring design changes, additional technology and a more powerful V8 engine.
The main upgrade is under the hood. The SUV now uses a new version of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which produces 603 hp and 850 Nm of torque, an increase of 53 hp compared with the previous model. The powertrain also features a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, helping to improve performance and driving refinement.

On the outside, the Maybach GLS 680 has received an illuminated front grille, new lighting elements featuring the Maybach signature in the headlights, and previously unavailable wheel designs and exclusive paint options.

The interior has also been updated with new trim materials, the latest-generation MBUX Superscreen multimedia system, executive rear seats with a massage function and additional features focused on passenger comfort.

According to Mercedes-Benz, the model will arrive at dealerships later in 2026. Although official prices have not been announced for every market, the SUV is expected to retain its position among the brand’s most exclusive vehicles, with a price above US$180,000.
